HARVARD LAW SCHOOL starts a new program: the Animal Law & Policy Clinic

One more step for planting seeds of PEACE

Under Clinical and Pro Bono programs, the Animal Law & Policy Clinic is a new course which has sailed in fall 2019.

What program does teach?

  • To experience animal advocacy: rule-making petitions, litigation, legislation, organizing and administrative practice, and policy-making for both captive and wildlife animals
  • To pursue advocacy under open-government laws, the Endangered Species Act, the National Environmental Policy Act, the Animal Welfare Act, the Humane Slaughter Act, the Marine Mammal Protection Act, the Wild Horse and Burros Act, and state animal cruelty codes.
